The Alaska Aces completed their mission to win by 6 points or more against the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel in their playoffs seeding determinant ballgame on Wednesday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum via 104-98. The Aces withstood the early surge of Mike Dunigan to have a good enough cushion in the 2nd half. The Gin Kings however staged some runs in an attempt to steal the lead, but they fell short as the Aces executed their offense to perfection in the dying minutes of the pay-off period. This win catapulted Alaska in 6th place while Ginebra drops down to number 8. The Aces will face Purefoods in a best of 3 series while the Gin Kings will go against a team with a twice-to-beat advantage, Rain or Shine, in the playoffs. (Val Marvin G. Macanas)
