Rain or Shine is now finals-bound after sweeping the Meralco Bolts on Tuesday by winning game 3 via 107-98 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. The Elasto Painters had a quick 15-0 run in the first quarter to establish a considerable lead, but Mark Macapagal churned out 3 three-pointers in the 2nd quarter to help Meralco get the lead at halftime. Come the 2nd half, it was evident that Rain or Shine felt the need to end the series so that they can have enough time to prepare for the finals. Their second stringers suddenly got on track headed by Raymond Almazan and Jonathan Uyloan. The two players combined for 22 points to put the game away. (Val Marvin G. Macanas)
