You will learn about Rational Numbers in this video. Any number that can be expressed in the form p / q , where both p and q are integers and q is not equal to 0 is called a rational number. For example, 4/7, 2/3, 11/2, -9/5 etc. These numbers are in the form of quotients or frions. Hence, the set of rational numbers is denoted by Q. All natural numbers, whole numbers and integers can be written in the form p / q by taking their denominator 1. For example, 7 = 7/1, -11 = -11/1 and 0 = 0/1. Thus, they are all rational numbers. Rational numbers can also be expressed in the form of decimal numbers. For example, 81/6 = 13.5 , 7/8 = 0.875 and 4/3 = 1.3333 and 9/11= 0.818181. These decimal expansions are either terminating or non-terminating recurring. This means, all terminating or non-terminating recurring decimal numbers are rational numbers.\r \r Educational Videos for people of all ages: \r \r Subscribe to our YouTube Channel:
