Instructions on how to open & close your Litelok Gold

There is a slight knack to opening Litelok which, once you’ve got it, becomes second nature. We suggest that you practice using Litelok a few times before taking it out with your bike. To open your Litelok simply push the key into the lock fully, then turn clockwise 180º. Don’t force the key if it feels jammed, instead give the key a side to side wiggle, remove the key and then re-insert to try again. Once you’ve successfully unlocked your Litelok, it will naturally spring open ready to use. It is important that you do not leave the key in the lock. If you drop the lock and it lands on the key this could damage the lock / key. Remove the key by turning it anticlockwise 180º.

Closing your Litelok is incredibly simple. Hold the ends firmly with both hands and bring them together so that the male end aligns with the female end. Then snap it shut. Litelok will close with a satisfying click. Make sure to keep your hands away from the close line to avoid it pinching your skin. You do not need the key to close the Litelok.
