اقبال کہتے ہیں کہ:
اپنی حکمت کے خم و پیچ میں اُلجھا ایسا
آج تک فیصلۂ نفع و ضرر کر نہ سکا
جِس نے سورج کی شعاؤں کو گرفتار کیا
زندگی کی شبِ تاریک سحر کر نہ سکا
انسان میں یہ قوت ہے کہ یہ سورج کی شعاؤں کو اپنے ہاں مقیّد کرلے،اپنی قید میں لے لے۔اورآج تو انسان نےاس زمین پہ رہتے ہوۓ magnetic waves کے ذریعے سورج کی تمازت،سورج کی حدّت اور سورج کی گرمی کا اس نے زمین پہ تجربہ کیا___ لیکن! اُس تمازت کو یہاں آزمانے کے باوجود،اُس تمازت کو یہاں اپنی magnetic waves میں قید کر لینے کے باوجود اُن کو یہ روشنی میسّر نہیں آئی کہ یہ زندگی کی تاریک رات کو اُجالے میں بدل سکے۔
Iqbal says,
"Entangled in the labyrinth of his science,
Lost count of good and ill;
Took captive the sun’s rays, and yet no sunrise,
On life’s thick night unfurled."
Man has developed a capacity to capture the rays of the sun. Through the magnetic waves, the heat of the sun is being studied and manipulated, yet the light of sense is nowhere to be seen. The dark night of ignorance prevails and there is nothing to bring light to it.
