Traditional LyftLine or UberPool are designed to share ride with another passenger going in the same direction. It seems to be a very good concept but very tough to implement in real world scenario in Urban areas. Most of the Urban areas where these ride requests are prominent like New York City, Chicago, San Franscisco are having heavy traffic with lot of obstacles like one way streets , pedestrians, construction, and more.
