Shourya is a 2010 Indian Kannada language action film written by J. Siva Kumar and directed by Sadhu Kokila. The film stars Darshan and Madalasa Sharma, making her debut in Kannada films, in the lead roles. It is a remake of the successful Telugu film Souryam (2008) starring Gopichand and Anushka Shetty.

The story begins with Soorya (Darshan) and his sister Vidya (Reema) who are the orphaned children of a rowdy. Soorya loves Vidya more than his life and wants to give her whatever she needs but realizes he cant. So, when the principal of Abhalashrama convinces Vidya to come, Soorya lies she is not his sister since he knows she will get better treatment there. Time goes on for 15 years and Soorya becomes an upright cop who is a terror to the bad guys, especially Vijayendra Varma (Sampath raj). Varma is responsible for the killing of Soorya’s mentor (Avinash). The cat and mouse game begins and Vijayendra Varma has a tough time.
