Season 2 begins with a bang. Appu's Colorful Birthday Surprise has twists, turns and loads of fun.
You probably already know what an invincible Yogic elephant calf Appu is. There is nothing he can't: he can choke harvesters, save a choking baby and save the homes of millions of animals in the forest all at the same time. Oh! What about all the fish in the river? He shot them across the sky to safety. That was quite a starry, starry sight.
Appu's yogic powers grows stronger every day. Those three dots on his forehead are lit up bright at every crisis point. His life has been quite a roller coaster ride all this while. He has a new family. An unlikely herd comprising of a giraffe, dog, tigress and a little girl...
There are so many things he's shown he can do. Most importantly he how he can beat Minus and show who's the boss all the time. He has brought about some drastic changes in his friends' lives too. He is the reason Tiger can talk to his best friend, Neena and be understood. He inspires Stretchy and Igress to break free and try new things in life. Most importantly tangy gooseberries, bananas and mangoes...What a fruity situation!

Appu's colorful birthday surprise is every bit magical as the episodes so far. A special person like Appu deserves every bit of it. Now what could possibly be colorful in Appu's amazing world? What can possibly out do such a vibrant place? It's tough enough to plan a surprise birthday party for a non-yogic human friend...
How could Appu's friends possibly plan a surprise birthday bash? He has demonstrated time and again that he can read people's thoughts. Especially Neena's. He could easily leap steps ahead of them, and catch them while they plan...
That would be horrible. There is obviously a lot of tension. Will he find out- Will he not-kind of a constant nail biting situation.
It's up to his friends to make sure he doesn't do anything that would ruin his own surprise. What could possibly come in between? What can stop him from finding this out? Nothing can distract him. He's Yogic. He has the power of meditation. He can meditate his way into any mental plane and dig out the truth.
That's the last thing we want here. It's a paradox perhaps even the most powerful yogic being cannot resolve. Great powers come with great abilities to predict.
There certainly are some things better left unknown... Like a fun surprise! Will Appu's gift for reading people's minds be a curse in this situation?
