Utopiayile Rajavu is the family entertainer, which stars Mammootty in the lead role. The movie is directed by veteran filmmaker Kamal and written by PS Rafeeq.
The movie revolves around the imaginary village Kokkrankara. CP Swathanthran (Mammootty) is the son of a freedom fighter. His paternal cousin Soman Thampi (Sunil Sukhadha) snatches the ancestral properties after the death of the father. Swathanthran is funnily called as 'Utopiayile Rajavu' by the villagers, due to his innocent nature and peculiar name. Things take a different turn when he decides to place a statue of his father in Kokkrankara junction. Then he meets Umadevi (Jewel Mary), a social worker. What happens next forms the rest of the plot.
