Uttarkashi bus accident: Shivraj Chouhan assures assistance to victims

Expressing grief on Uttarkashi bus tragedy, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Wednesday assured full assistance to the families of the victims and injured. The CM said that he spoke to Union Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu to attach an extra coach to the trains for bringing back the mortal remains of the deceased. At least 20 pilgrims had died and several others injured after a bus carrying them drowned into a river near Dharasu in Uttarakhand’s Uttarkashi. The bus carrying 29 pilgrims from Madhya Pradesh was on its way from Uttarkashi to Gangotri. Yesterday, Chouhan also announced compensation of Rs. 2 Lakh to the kin of the deceased and Rs. 50,000 to the injured.

उत्तराखंड के उत्तरकाशी में बड़ा हादसा हुआ है। जहां श्रद्धालुओं से भरी बस पर खाई में गिर गई। इस हादसे में 22 लोगों के शव बरामद हुए हैं। वहीं 8 बस यात्री घायल हैं जिन्हें अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया है। हादसा उस समय हुआ जब ये श्रद्धालु गंगोत्री धाम से वापस लौट रहे थे। इतने बड़े हादसे के बाद मध्य प्रदेश सरकार और उत्तराखंड सरकार ने मुआवजे का ऐलान किया।
