That put the company ahead of fellow boutiques like Perella Weinberg Partners and Qatalyst Partners, but well below top competitors like Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan Chase. The firm plans to announce on Tuesday that it will open an office in San Francisco, led by a new hire, Chris Gaertner, who will also oversee the global technology group. “We’ve achieved some pretty strong market positions throughout the world,” said James Neissa, the Rothschild head of North America.
