Watch the Giant Sperm Whale washed ashore in Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu. A dead and giant sperm whale washed ashore on the Pamban Beach in Tamil Nadu’s Rameswaram. The dotted mammal is the only living member of genus Physeter and one of the exticnt species of the sperm whale family. This species of whale is listed vulnerable by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources. Last month, a 32-feet-long carcass of a whale was found on the shores of Puri Beach in Odisha.
