KARACHI: The Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) arrested scores of suspects in a crackdown against miscreants under countrywide Radd-ul-Fasaad operation on Thursday night, ARY News reported.

Two key terrorists of proscribed Jamaat-ul-Ahrar were arrested in a raid from Mardan. Explosive material, two hand grenades, and weapons were also recovered from their possession, officials said.

The LEAs arrested seven suspects during a raid at Pirwadhai area of Rawalpindi city. No further details of the raid were shared so far.

Separately, during door-to-door search operation in Hafizabad district of Punjab, police arrested 16 suspects including an alleged target-killer.

Meanwhile, police in Karachi conducted targeted raids at three different areas of the city by arresting 15 suspects. Police arrested seven miscreants during a search operation in Gizri for their suspected involvement in various street crimes. Police arrested another suspect from Hub-River road in Baldia Town for carrying an illegal weapon. Police also detained two suspected criminals during a raid in Joharabad area of the city.

Identification of the arrested suspects could not be ascertained.
