On one side ‘Bahubali 2’ is creating new records, and on the other hand it’s facing legal issues.
Members of ‘Arekatika Porata Samithi’ has been offended by one scene in the recently released movie where Kattappa says “Katika Cheekati” meaning Katika is a caste slur.
The members have filed a police complaint against the makers of the film and urged the censor board to remove the scene.
According to a leading tabloid the complaint said,
“We Katika people indulge in the trade of butchery, to sell meat of goats, sheep and hens, to provide healthy food to the society, as part of our livelihood. We are not harsh, inhuman and anti-social people as the movies try to portray us,”
Meanwhile, the movie is riding high on success, and the director S.S. Rajamouli has gone to London to attend its special screening.
