Nitish Kumar govt imposes luxury tax on samosas, kachoris

The Nitish Kumar government has decided to impose 13.5 per cent tax on luxury items. including samosas, kachoris and branded namkeens, sweets priced more than Rs 500 a kg, mosquito repellent, sand, cosmetic items, scent and hair oil, auto parts, battery parts among others to mop up additional revenue for carrying development work.
