Devotees thronged the 'Har ki Pauri' ghat in Haridwar to take first festive bath on the occasion of Makar Sankranti during the Ardh Kumbh mela. Makar Sankranti is a major harvest festival celebrated in various parts of the country. It also marks the beginning of warmer and longer days compared to the nights.
