Aaron Eckhart on 'fanboying' over Tom Hanks and filming the water landing in Sully

Based on the 2009 real-life event and the memoir, Highest Duty: My Search for What Really Matters, upcoming biopic Sully explores the quick-thinking of Captain Chesley Sullenberger (Tom Hanks) and his co-pilot Jeff Skiles (Aaron Eckhart) when they water landed the malfunctioning US Airways Flight 1549 on the Hudson River. All 155 passengers and crew aboard survived the incident thanks to Sullenberger and his co-pilot Jeff Skiles' calm and pragmatic quick-thinking. In an exclsuive interview with IBTimes UK, Eckhart joked how he'd rather actually crash planes in movies so that it felt more realistic. Also starring Mike O'Malley and Laura Linney, Sully: Miracle On The Hudson is released in UK cinemas on Friday 2 December.
