A leading Presidential frontrunner in the Philippines jokes about an Australian missionary who was abducted, gang-raped and later killed in 1989. A video clip has appeared showed Rodrigo Digong Duterte, the mayor of Davao City saying, "I was angry because she was raped, that's one thing. But she was so beautiful, the mayor should have been first. What a waste." In 1989, the inmates of the jail had overpowered the guards and grabbed their weapons, taking 15 people, including 36-year-old Australian Jacqueline Hamill, hostage in 1989.
