Choate Rosemary Hall, an elite Connecticut boarding school whose alumni include President John F. Kennedy, revealed
that at least 12 former teachers sexually molested — and, in at least one case, raped — students in a series of cases dating back to the 1960s.
The North said on Friday that it could annihilate American military bases in South Korea "within minutes," and
that it would test a nuclear weapon any time it pleases.
The warnings came as Vice President Mike Pence prepared to leave for South Korea, the
start of a 10-day tour of the region with the North expected to be a major topic.

China called for calm on all sides as North Korea intensified its saber-rattling ahead of its founder’s day celebrations,
and a United States Navy strike group approached the region.
That was the assessment a day after the U.S. military dropped a 10-ton explosive, referred
to as the "mother of all bombs," on an Islamic State stronghold in eastern Afghanistan.
Dozens of Islamic State fighters were killed, three cave hide-outs were destroyed, and local Afghans said the blast was felt as far as 10 miles away.
