Thousands of Toulouse residents gathered at Le Prairie des Filtres in support of Left Party presidential candidate Jean-Luc Melenchon on April 16, one week ahead of the first round of French presidential elections.Melenchon is currently trailing in the polls behind centrist Emmanuel Macron and far-right Marine Le Pen, however, some have suggested that the more liberal Melenchon may be gaining traction amongst left-wing voters who remain undecided on Macron.
