Kilik & Mintika two historic passes on the Pakistani border with china. Foreigners were not allowed to visit the Area but now it is open since 1999.It is a beautiful valley springs and trees are abundant there and the campsites are grassy. For more the 1000 years Kilik&Mntika were the old Silk Route primary passes between china and Hunza and today again these border valley are attached for foreigners. Historically, Klik and Mintika passes were frequently crossed by Buddhist pilgrims and traders along the ancient Silk Route. The trek offers breathtaking landscape and could be rated as one of the easiest trekking route in Gilgit-Baltitan.The trek brings you back to the times when trading caravans, British explorers and mail runners passed through this geo-strategic area.
