Police clampdown on drivers who text at the wheel

Police have begun a clampdown on people who text while driving, as stiffer penalties and higher fines come into force. Chief Inspector Colin Carswell of the Metropolitan Police says penalties have been doubled for drivers, whilst Transport Secretary Chris Grayling MP said the practice is extremely dangerous and totally unacceptable.
