A Belgian digital-marketing and tech company called NewFusion has launched an initiative offering employees the opportunity to trade in their ID badges for a surgically-implanted microchip.

The chips, which are inserted between the owner’s index finger and thumb, contain personal data and codes allowing access to company assets.

For those bothered about becoming bionic, the chip can also be worn in a ring.
