I came up with a good idea for this video... The song's "I Will Remember You" and I wrote it at a time I'd just lost my grandma Leona Peak. It had brought back memories of my father's death from just a few years earlier, the song just flowed right out. It came to me that grandma had a major influence on my thinking and beliefs. When I was 6 years old she'd take me outside of her house and in the woods, and talk about war, fallout, shape shifting, history, and the universe... I soaked up her point of view and knew she could tell me anything. I didn't think it was abnormal for these subjects to be discussed with a six year old, I just thought this was how life would always be... It was a unique time for me to grow up, and grandma's influence on me was profound. I decided to dedicate a song to her. It's one of the simplest guitar parts I've ever come up with but the vocals, drums and bass were not near as simple and carry the song far off region... I belt out the lyrics to this song and still cry sometimes but I'm very proud to say I wrote it. No one else will ever write another song like it and that makes me happy. Erik Brandborg came up with an amazing bass line for it which even makes the song so much better. His bass playing is on another level... another planet compared to others. The footage is all public domain and well suited to the tune. I remastered this recording and it now sounds phenomenal. This video's dedicated to the words she spoke to me, I hope she knew how much she meant to me... my grandma Leona Peak!!!.
