Canadian mother of three held in Bahamas for sex with boy, 15

NASSAU, BAHAMAS — A Canadian mom has been detained in the Bahamas and charged with sexual assault against a minor after she admitted to getting it on with a 15-year-old boy on a cruise ship.

Karine Gagne, 23, from Quebec met the American boy in the ship’s casino and bar area on Jan. 5.

The boy stood well over 6 feet tall, had a beard and said he was 18 years old, Gagne told her mother Chantale Auclair, CTV News Montreal reported.

Gagne and the teen chatted, danced and got to know each other before one thing led to another. And by that we mean they went to the bathroom and did the nasty.

At the time, the ship was docked in the Bahamas, where the age of consent for heterosexuals is 16.

Gagne and the boy were busted by his mother, who then called the police, despite pleas from her son not to get the cops involved.

Gagne works for a company selling adult-themed products, and the cruise trip was a reward from her boss for hitting sales targets. But after getting it on with the underage boy, she has spent the past two weeks locked up in a Bahamian jail, and now faces more court appearances.

Gagne’s three daughters are aged 3, 4 and 5. They are being cared for in Canada by Auclair.
