Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt said that while 'Jannat' was a love story set against the backdrop of cricket betting, the upcoming film 'Jannat 2' is a story set against the background of illegal arms. Bhatt further said that statistics prove that 90% of murders committed by firearms in Delhi take place due to illegal weapons. Bhatt added that the characters in the movie are very real and that the protagonist reflects the attitude and ideals of today's youth.
