An associate professor at Drexel University is being criticized for a tweet he posted on Christmas Eve.

An associate professor at Drexel University is possibly in serious trouble over a tweet he posted on Christmas Eve, reports the New York Post.
It read, “All I Want for Christmas is White Genocide."
The man behind the message is George Ciccariello-Maher, who, according to his university bio, specializes in topics regarding race, racism, social movements, and policing.”
He has since offered an explanation for his social media post, noting it is, “…a satirical tweet about an imaginary concept, 'white genocide.’ For those who haven't bothered to do their research, 'white genocide' is an idea invented by white supremacists and used to denounce everything from interracial relationships to multicultural policies…it should be mocked, and I'm glad to have mocked it."
Ciccariello-Maher's employer does not appear equally thrilled and announced it has called a meeting with the professor to discuss the matter further, reports the Associated Press.
