Shahid Kapoor : 'I play a big Salman Khan fan in 'Phata Poster Nikhla Hero''

Shahid Kapoor, who was last seen in 'Teri Meri Kahaani' opposite Priyanka Chopra, is now gearing up for the release of his upcoming film 'Phata Poster Nikhla Hero'. Shahid will play an aspiring actor in the movie, who also happens to be a big Salman Khan fan. Talking about his character at a recently held event, Kapoor said, "I'm a big fan of films in this film. My character Vishwas Rao's life is made of films and he believes that his life too is a film so that's why he is shown tearing posters, and delivering dialogues. He is an aspiring actor, his mother wants him to be an honest cop but he wants to be an actor so that's why the character is like that." "And yes, he is a very big fan of Salman Khan in the film, for one of the scenes I have also worn a 'Being Human' t-shirt. There's a scene in which my character goes to the vegetable market and he is carrying vegetables on his head and his hand and he's looking at Dabangg 2's poster while eating a banana. So that's the kind of character we wanted. There is also a scene in the film where Salman sir is there and he was kind enough to do it." Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the film stars Ileana D'Cruz in the lead role and is slated to hit the theaters on September 20.
