Salman Khan Out, Varun Dhawan In For 'Shhuddhi'

In wake of his recent indictment in the hit and run case, filmmakers may just be shying away from commencing their projects with Salman Khan. The Dabangg dude who was supposed to be finalized for Karan Johar's production Shhuddhi after much speculation, has now been replaced by Varun Dhawan. It must be recalled here that the initial casting of Shhuddhi was of Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor but reportedly the actors dropped out of the film. There was a huge buzz that post that Karan Johar met up with Salman Khan and had discussed the project with him to which Khan had supposedly given a nod.

Now the latest development is that Salman is out and Varun Dhawan is in. In fact, it was Salman himself who shared this on his social media platform. Salman posted a childhood picture of Varun along with the following caption "Kamaal karte ho Varun Dhawan...made ur dad n me so proud of u... happy Shhuddhi" thus putting to rest all kinds of speculations over the casting of Shhuddhi. Alia Bhatt is said to have been cast opposite Varun in the film.
