Since October, 2014, the Amigo Gringo channel has been showing Brazilians how to see New York City as a local - and exploring cultural differences between the two biggest countries of the Americas. The twice-weekly videos are hosted in Portuguese (with English subtitles, click the CC button) by Seth Kugel, former Frugal Traveler and Weekend in New York columnist for The New York Times and directed by Texas-raised, NYU-trained filmmaker Eric Hinojosa, with the contributions of Brazilian actors Vanessa Jardim and Patrícia Faolli.
