The fishymenn /ザ フィッシメン 2003年、バンドリーダーである渡辺森を中心に結成

バンド名のfishyとは怪しい、いかがわしい、予想通りではない、の意。 1970年代のアメリカンホラー映画「the fishmen]に因む。 ジャンルはこだわりがなくロックやジャズ、ファンク、エレクトロ、ダブ等、 楽曲ごとにコンセプトが異なるのが特徴。 ドラマーは固定メンバーでは無く、打ち込みを利用する事も多い。
「モンスター」と「宇宙」をテーマにクラブミュージックとバンド演奏を 融合した楽曲を制作している。
都内のクラブ、ライブハウスを中心に活動。 自ら主催するイベント、ナイトプラネット(1996~)を不定期で開催。
近年は渡辺森がオーナーを務める池尻大橋トランジスタバー(2012~)でライブ やDJイベントを行なっている。

Suspicious and fishy of the band name, shady, not as expected, meaning. 1970s American horror named after the movie "the fishmen]. Genre commitment is not rock and jazz, funk, electro, dub, etc., the concept is different for each piece of music features. Drummer is not a fixed member, to use the implantation thing often.
It has been creating music that combines the club music and the band played on the theme of "Space" and "monster".
Activity in the center of Tokyo club, a live house. Own sponsored event, held Night Planet the (1996 ~) in irregular.
In recent years it has been performed live and DJ events in Ikejiriohashi transistor bar with Shin watanabe serve the owner (2012 ~).
