The Black Death in 1348 was the worst outbreak of desease to ever to hit London. It swept through London, killing old and young, rich and poor, within the first few days of their first symptoms. Twenty five skeletons were discovered during the construction of Crossrail that could help solve the mystery of what caused the outbreak of the plague
