2016 marks the first time in more than ten years that people in Nevada can legally bet on the Olympics. Thanks to a change in state law, the Rio games are the first since Sydney in 2000 that Las Vegas bookmakers could make money on. But officials say the change hasn't made for big business. Owing to low expectations, bookies have seen little profit from Olympic gambling, despite the USA medaling in so many sports including track, volleyball, and Judo.
