As a permanent resident can I study out of the U.S. for 10 months or more?

If your studies abroad are for 10 months, there will not be a problem returning the U.S. However, if there’s a possibility of your studies exceeding 10 months or up to a year, rather than taking the risk before leaving the U.S., I would suggest getting a Re-entry permit which will allow you to remain outside the U.S. for 2 years and that you will not jeopardize your permanent resident status.
Should you have any problem regarding re-entry permit process, call us at +1 212-245-70 70 or send us an email to info@ogmenlaw.com
Thank you.
