Hidilyn Diaz of the 53 kg class secured a silver medal in women's weight lifting action at the Olympic Games held in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. She ended a two-decade medal drought in the "Best Show in the World." The last hardware for the Philippines was brought by boxer Mansueto "Onyok" Velasco who also snared silver.
