According to a mid-July online survey of more than 1,500 Americans, overall consumer interest in self-driving cars dropped about three percentage points after reports of a Tesla crash surfaced at the end of June. Results of the survey, conducted by AlixPartners, were released on Friday, and showed that consumer awareness of self-driving cars has increased, even as interest in actually riding in one are slightly on the wane.
