A spear fisherman got a little more than he bargained for while fishing off the coast of Florida on Friday, July 1, when a nurse shark chased him and his catch. Sean O’Connor was spearfishing off Pompano Beach, and had just caught a hogfish, when the shark made a move for O’Connor and his catch.“I look down a second later and it’s coming straight for me,” O’Connor wrote in an Instagram post. “I start swimming backwards trying to keep it away with my fins and I realize the stringer is wrapped around my arm and the dead fish is on my body and the hog was in my hand.” Credit: YouTube/Road Warrior
