Tool: making of Vicarious
  • il y a 16 ans
Vicarious" is the first single from American progressive rock band Tool's fourth full-length studio album, 10,000 Days.
Chet Zar (born November 12, 1967) is an American artist notable for his dark visual art, make-up effects, and digital animation. He is most widely known for his work with Tool's music and live videos.
In addition to creating digital animations for Tool's live shows, Zar has created his own DVD of digital loops, entitled Disturb the Normal. His 'animated paintings' are made using Lightwave 3d and Adobe After Effects.
The vicarious DVD released on December 18, 2007 contains an extended version of the much-delayed video counterpart for the song.
The video, which is completely computer-generated, was co-directed by guitarist Adam Jones and artist Alex Grey and also features creative input from Chet Zar.
