Doctors extract needle from baby's throat

A video has emerged of Chinese doctors taking care of a one-year-old girl who swallowed a needle.

The footage, captured in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province last Thursday, shows an x-ray of the four centimetre-long needle in the baby's throat before it was removed.

According to local reports, the girl was taken to the hospital by her family hours after she accidentally swallowed the needle.

The surgery only last 30 seconds and the girl is now fine.
