In honor of Valentine's Day we decided to do a heart shape bun for our Curly Hairstyle of the Week. Using a regular bun maker, we pinched the sides and adding rubber bands to create a heart shape.
Once you've made your ponytail, carefully push the hair through in between the rubber bands. Then flip the hair over the sides and use a hair tie to make another ponytail around the bun to secure it in place.
After making your bun, you can twist or braid the rest of the hair, wrap it around the bun and secure with bobby pins.
Don't worry if your bun isn't a perfectly shaped heart - that's what bobby pins are for!
I added a few at the top of the bun to create the dimple of the heart, and along the sides. Lastly, gently pull the strands at the bottom of the bun to complete the look.
