I have supported QB Pro and this is what got me through a lot of little headaches:

1. Make SURE that your networking setup for accessing the company's QB file is perfect, IE on the same network, subnet, can ping, cables all good, etc. I actually have changed where the QB company file is being hosted so I ALWAYS KNOW that a connection to that host is good, IE on a file server compared to running it on some random desktop PC.

2. Do a clean install of the host that serves the QB file to the users and make sure that the QB file is located on that same host and that (QB itself) can find it. If you install it as a database/server then you can make sure it finds the proper folder. Launcher manager and there is an option to find the folder that hosts the Companies QB file.

3. Realize how much QB is horrible and their support is indefinitely worse. Google is your friend but reinstalling and deleting the %appdata% folder will help you x10 more.

4. Make sure the Admin account in QB specifies that it's currently in multi user mode and that each computer that USES that same QB file is also in multi user mode upon startup, you should only have the MAX number of people in that your license allows or QB likes to just blow up.

Thank you.
