The Jungle Book 2016 | Bollywoods Biggest Stars Voiceover For The Characters!
The roaring success of jungle book has made it the best Hollywood film to launch in India. The reasons for the thunderous success are countless. 90 % of the audiences that flocked in the theaters to watch the movie are adults. Most audience watched the movie to relive the moments of their childhood when the television series on the jungle book- mowgli was telecasted on Doordarshan in the 90s. Even today, most of us could sing the entire title track ‘Jungle Jungle baat chali hai', and who can forget Mowgli and his escapades in the Jungle. We had a deep rooted relationship with the characters and Rudyard Kiplings jungle book sure made us nostalgic. Almost 3 decades after bidding adieu to our favorite character he peeped into our lives again and created the similar magic and chased our hearts. Voice overs of the characters created an impact on the audiences just as the 90s. let us have look at the artist who brought back the magic onscreen over again with their voice. 1. The voice of shere Khan is certainly heard Nana Patekar’s Shere Khan the tiger, Nana Patekar, who has earlier dubbed for Shere Khan in The Adventures of Mowgli (1989), is back playing the same role. Patekar’s voice matches the slow and deceptive movement of Shere Khan on the screen and even makes you laugh at the wicked humour in his tone as he sniffs out the “insaani pilla” and does not have to growl when he says every single dialogue. Nana brings the evil in the character just with his voice. 2. Spellbound by the hypnotic voice the audience might wonder who is it.. if you did not recognize voice behind kaa, the slippery python, it is none other than the Quantico star Priyanka Chopra. It’s the most amazing voiceover dub done by Priyanka Chopra. And yes, more dramatic than the underplayed Scarlett Johansson in its English version. 3. Irrfan’s Baloo, the bear, Irrfan was a little apprehensive about playing a Punjabi, as he had never done it before. But if you see it in the move his voice is unrecognizable. Though we loved it 4. King Louie, voiced by Bugs Bhargava The character, in keeping with his name, is given a Goan touch and made to speak in Hinglish. 5. Shefali Shah foster mother, Raksha wolf. Shefali Shah sounds like any concerned mom. Her voice is as comforting as of a real mother of Mowgli 6. The more challenging work is done by Jasleen Singh Chadda who dubs Mowgli’s voice in Hindi. 7. veteran star Om Puri will lend his voice to Bagheera, his voice indeed sounds very vigilant and caring towards the lead character mowgli Veteran actor Puri, Bagheera, the Black Panther 8. Akela: the leader of the wolf family is voiced by Rajesh Kattar. The Jungle Book has remarkable recall value from the Doordarshan series which is 1 of the main reason to drive in audience.
