The film is a political drama that shows the friendship between a Hindu boy and a Muslim girl, which takes a communal twist when the boy gets killed. Well Jimmy was recently appreciated in the hard-hitting film Traffic, and may also be the top performer in Shorgul. He plays a politician in the film and his character is grey. The actor said that Shorgul is a story that he strongly thinks should reach the masses and create a conversation among the youth. Directed by Jitendra Tiwari and Prashant Singh, the movie also stars Sanjay Suri, Ashutosh Rana, Hiten Tejwani and Eijaz Khan in main roles. Shorgul will release on 24th June, 2016 along with Junooniyat and Raman Raghav 2.0.
