As of 1971, Quinn the Eskimo had ceased to be mighty, and the days when his mere sight sufficed to make people jump with joy were long gone, as were str8-4ward pop tunes like "Doo Wah Diddy Diddy" and "Might Quinn". Manfred remembered his jazz roots, assembled a new band and recorded one of the greatest progressive rock records on record.
