Jalpaiguri (WB), May 13 (ANI): A smuggler was arrested with a 10-feet-long leopard skin in Jalpaiguri district. Acting on information received, forest officers of Belacoba range intercepted a group of three people who were trying to smuggle the skin to Nepal. They managed to arrest one person and also seized the skin. He added they have in the past recovered Royal Bengal tiger and cheetah skins and claimed these were likely part of an international racket. Poaching in India has reduced the population of several species including tigers, elephants and rhinos.
