Hyperloop One held its first propulsion test on Wednesday in the desert north of Las Vegas, unveiling its self-developed propulsion system in action. A foot-long sled with a propulsion motor reached 116 miles per hour during a two-second test on an open-air track. However, the full-scale system, inspired by the ideas of entrepreneur Elon Musk, is expected to reach speeds of up to 750 miles per hour.
