Feathers are a resource that are dropped from birds as they fly away. Feathers can also be obtained by killing a bird which will give you 3-5 feathers depending on the bird.
Bird Feathers are very useful as they are used in upgrades. To upgrade a weapon use sap and feathers in combination with a weapon to add a permanent speed bonus. They are also used to craft arrows which are an important to survival.
