Baby giraffe debuts at Zoo

Desi, a baby male reticulated giraffe, made his debut this week at the St. Louis Zoo. He was born on September 10, 2010 to parents Susie and Dexter.

On July 17 the Philadelphia Zoo welcomed a giraffe calf, the first born at the zoo in 13 years. The calf made its official debut Tuesday. (Aug. 3)
The Fort Worth Zoo welcomed the newest member of its giraffe herd, a female, on July 29, 2012. At birth, Tatu weighed in at 160 pounds and measured 6 feet tall .
