A combination of five gems – tur dal, chana dal, moong dal, masoor dal and urad dal makes an delicous and tradional Dal Panchmel. So with Chef Varun Inamdar, learn to make Dal Panchmel at home only on Rajshri Food.
Ingredients 50 gms tur dal 25 gms chana dal 50 gms moong dal 50 gms masoor dal 25 gms urad dal peeled 2 tbsp Ghee 1 tsp Oil 1 tbsp jeera 1 tbsp chilli pwd 1/2 tbsp haldi 1 tbsp corriander pwd 1 tbsp garam masala pwd 1 medium tomato 2-3 green chillies chopped 1/4 tsp hing Water Salt as required Finely chopped coriander for garnish
Method: - In bowl add together urad dal , tur dal, moong dal, masoor dal and chana dal and add water and wash it properly. Wash it 3 times and starin the water and then soak it for 1 hour in hot water
- Add the dals into pressure cooker, some water and salt, cook It for 4-5 whistles.
- Churn the dal add more water and mix properly
- In a pan add ghee and little bit of oil. Add hing, cumin seeds, garam masala and the dal
- Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder and salt to taste, add water to adjust the consistency
- Add chopped green chillies, tomatoes and coriander leaves.
