Chris O'Neill Becomes First Westerner Officially Employed as a Ninja

29-year-old American citizen Chris O'Neill became the very first foreign professional ninja in Japan after being selected from a pool of 235 applicants. He joined five men and one woman in the ranks of a ninja team for a tourist company in the Japanese city of Nagoya. His ability to perform backward handsprings, acrobatic ninja kicks, and dedication to the ninja way of life landed him the job.
